- Summary
- The rear shock absorber bracket causes the rear shock absorber lower mounting hardware to fail prematurely.
- Consequence
- The rear shock absorber may become detached and causedamage to surrounding components (tires, springs, etc.) which could lead toloss of vehicle control and an accident.
- Remedy
- Remove old shock absorber mounting brackets, reattach new brackets to frame, adapt shock absorbers and add a jounce pad spacer between each jounce pad and the new shock absorber brackets.
