- Summary
- Vehicle description: passenger mini-vans. Covers on the solid stalk mounted seat belt buckles can become dislodged causing the release button to stick inside the cover. The buckle would then be only partially latched.
- Consequence
- In the event of a vehicle crash, the occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install a cover retaining clip to the stalk mounted buckle cover to prevent dislocation of the buckle cover.
- Notes
- Owner notification began December 8, 1997.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
