Summary: The ten(10) mounts which are used to attach the ambulance module to the modified light truck chassis can fracture due to metal fatigue.
Consequence: Fracture of the mounts can cause vehicle handling problems which may result in an accident.
Remedy: Gusset plates will be installed on all vehicles connecting the longitudinal beams to the transverse beams. Also, if inspection discloses a fractured mount, a steel reinforcement bar will be installed to further stablilize the mount. These vehicles will also be re-inspected annually by road rescue or its dealers.
