Electrical system

Summary: The rectifier installed in a vented compartment in the passenger side stepwell of the vehicle overheats and breaks down due to inadequate ventilation.
Consequence: The overheating and breakdown of the rectifier causedsubsequent failures to the alternators of the vehicles involved.
Remedy: Move the rectifiers from the stepwell area to the underside of the bus behind the entrance door to insure proper ventilation.
