Summary: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2005-2024 X3-45, 2017-2019 and 2021-2023 X3-45 Commuter, 2006-2007, 2014, and 2018 H3-41, 2005-2020 and 2022-2024 H3-45, and 2019 H3-45 VIP buses equipped with a wheelchair lift. The wheelchair platform bridging device may be too steep, which can cause the wheelchair to become unstable. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 403, "Platform Lift Devices" and 404, "Platform Lift Installations."
Consequence: An unstable wheelchair increases the risk of injury to lift occupants.
Remedy: Prevost will replace the wheelchair lift bridging device, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 25, 2025. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR24-26.

Summary: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2014 and 2018 H3-41, 2013-2024 H3-45, 2012-2024 X3-45, and 2017-2023 X3-45 Commuter vehicles. The red beacon lighting on the Threshold Warning System (TWS) may not be bright enough. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform Lift Systems."
Consequence: Beacons that do not provide proper illumination may be less visible to wheelchair lift users, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Prevost will replace the red beacons, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 16, 2024. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR24-03.

Summary: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2021 and 2023 X3-45 Commuter buses. The bolt securing the passenger seat recline mechanism may loosen and disengage, resulting in an unsecured seat back.
Consequence: An unsecured seat back and integrated seat belt may not properly restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Prevost will inspect, add Loctite adhesive, and adequately tighten the seat recline mechanism bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2023. Consequence: An improperly welded seat frame may not adequately restrain the passenger, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

The driver's seat is equipped with a Type 1 seat belt instead of the correct Type 2 seat belt. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence: An incorrect seat belt may not adequately protect the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of an injury.

Consequence: During a crash, the loose backrest and the seat belt may not properly restrain the occupant, increasing the risk of an injury.
